Yoga In The Park

We had 40 people at our Free Yoga class on Saturday, August 7th..   Great start !!
 
We will be having classes every Saturday in August and it looks like we will have enough teachers to continue in September culminating in SE Iowa’s largest yoga class on September 25th.

Strategic Planning

JeffCoWAC is embadrking on a major planning exercise that will set the tone for a healthy Jefferson County for years to come. The plan will be completed by summer of 2010. It will be designed by a group representing all the major players in the county to insure buy in from the total community. This plan is a natural evolution of a process began in the fall of 2009.

JeffCoWAC Completes Major Planning Exercise

Fairfield, IA – On Saturday, November 14, 2009, the Jefferson County Wellness Action Coalition (JeffCoWAC) held a one-day workshop. The 13 participants spent the morning doing an asset mapping exercise that allowed everyone to graphically view all the food and physical activity assets in Jefferson County. (more)

Cross Country Skiing

The Jefferson County Wellness Action Coalition hosted a Cross County Ski Event on Saturday February 27, 2010.  25 skiers met at 2 PM, at the parking lot of Jefferson County Park. (more)
